Brief

Getting design files and from the customer.We will listen to your main objectives and thoroughly process your expectations from the product.

Design for Manufacturing

Design For Molding

We will review the part and characterize the mold concept of operation.from the simplest 2 plate mold type to the most complex operations such as: multiple split lines, sliders and side/angled action, rotating cores, plastic on metal overmold and more.After Analyzing the challenges of your part’s design regarding its compliance for injection molding, we may offer design modifications in order to improve problematic features or just point out ways to reduce tooling cost and tighten the timeline.After receiving 3D model, Drawing or physical object. we can model your part and assembly from the ground up, getting it ready for prototyping, validation and mass production

Manufacturing

Once we receive your approval for the final part variation, we will engage mold design, order standard components and start machining, assembly and fitting in order to make injection tryouts.After a successful injection tryout, We inspect a test batch so we can decide whether we start production.

Projects

Medical devices manufacturer

Cartridge for drug delivery system

Our customer presented us with two design variations for a medical deviceHe enquired about our ability to build prototype molds for the devices in a tight schedule so he can showcase his new system on an upcoming trade show event.

Challenges

Two different parts were required, they share design similarities but demand a highly complex mold Including two main slides, a side core, 5 parting elements and 2 stage ejection.

Timeline for the first batch of both parts was 3 calendar weeks.

Mold was intended to make only 20 units of each part for the prototype validation, but still have the ability to produce 100,000 parts with short cycle time (30 sec).

Outcome

Due to our ability to make the whole process in-house, molded prototypes were delivered on time, on the following weeks we adjusted the mold for production and made more than 50,000 parts to deliver new orders.

Huliot

Pipe fitting

A global leader in advanced flow systems for buildings contacted us for a project involving a newly designed pipe fitting for Domestic drainage system.

Our customer approached us with several complex multi cavity production molds for a new product he was about launch certain functions of the molded parts had to be improved in order to comply with new requirements in a short period of time.

Challenges

Multiple Design iterations had to be prototyped on the existing production tooling. Prototypes had to go through validation again to define and tweak the optimal design.

Tight schedule was demanded in order to start mass production.

Outcome

3 new design iterations were made with prototype mold sets molded examples went through testing the best performing design was again tweaked, prototyped and tested.

Final design was updated on all production molds and Full scale mass production was initiated rapidly.

Medical Manufacturer

PEEK micro assembly

As part of researching innovations in the field of heart disease, we were contacted for prototyping a new device for heart surgery.

The design consisted of a two part assembly with tight fitting tolerances,Unique 3d geometry and had to be injection molded out of PEEKOne of the highest performing engineering polymers.

Total mass of the device is around 0.01 grams.

Challenges

Small part features demanded micro machining with tools smaller than 0.2 mm in diameter.

Injection molding PEEK requires melting temperatures around 340 celsiusAnd mold temperature can’t be regulated using standard techniques.

Outcome

An In House, complex mold and heating system was designed and built for the polymer’s special requirements.

Injection molded prototypes were attained by the customerR&D engineers went through physical testing and proceeded development of their next gen device.
